Concentrate (Must Add Distilled Water)

OR

Ready-to-Use 50/50 Pre-Mixed Antifreeze/Coolant?

Rice offers both concentrate and 50/50 Pre-Mix (Ready-to-Use); however, the simple answer is KISS. Keep It Simple, buy 50/50 Pre-Mix and avoid all the hassles and risks of techs not consitently and properly diluting the concentrate with distilled water (often techs use city tap water; not ideal). It takes valuable time to get this distilled water/antifreeze concentrate ratio just right at your shop and there's a lot that can go wrong when you are pressed for time and try to do it yourself.

Rice offers both "Virgin" and Antifreeze/Coolants made from 100% Recycled Gycol

If you must have a brand name, we've got it. If, like many Americans, you've become more and more comfortable using "generics" like toiletries, medications and gasolines, you may want to try our generic antifreeze/coolants that meet and/or exceed the brand name specs but for less.

Consider: The #1 best technology process to take spent antifreeze and recycle it back to new quality antifreeze is vacuum distillation.

That's only half the process. Once the distilled water and glycol

are recovered, its time to add back in the chemistry, or additive package. We only use the very best additive packages from Penray and Chevron-Texaco.

A quick note about the second best technology process: distillation. The distallation process alone, without vacuum, requires the spent antifreeze to go through a much higher boiling point to remove the residula inhibitors, dissolved contamination and metals. That's a good thing; however, the higher temperature breaks down the glycol. A negative as it promotes the formation of acids which prey on engines.

The Vaccum
Distillation Process makes it possible to remove all contaminants and produce pure distilled water and glycol but at a significantly lower temperatures that do not break down the glycol. At this point the chemistry technology to refortify the product is added.
